Ellen Pai – Managing Director
Ellen is an experienced head administrator and volunteer community worker who since 2007 initiated Formosa Chinese Kids Class Inc. She graduated from university of Melbourne with bachelor of Commence & Art. She also completed her Master of Business System at University of Monash.Ellen, a mother of three boys, has come to realize how difficult for children to learn their own mother tongue within the local English community. Thus she has turned her love of business work into establishing Hello Mandarin Learning Centre.
Hello Mandarin provides all the resource to create a fun and loving learning environment for children in Melbourne.
Zoe Chang- Senior Centre Coordinator (Rainbow Lao Shi)
Rainbow Lao Shi graduated from University of
Chia-Yi, Creative Art and Craft Education course. She has taught in
primary schools and has been involved in creative art teaching for a
number of years. In 2007, she taught in San Francisco Soho Art
Education Centre (USA). She has a multitude of experience with early
childhood education especially in creative arts education and Mandarin.
Rainbow Lao Shi has TCFL/TCSOL (teaching Chinese as a foreign language)
certificate. She completed her Master of Education at La Trobe
University. She also completed her diploma of Early Childhood Education
and Care at Gowrie Victoria in 2015. She is an experienced arts and
Chinese teacher.
Ming Lao Shi
Ming completed her Master of Commerce in Marketing
in 2006 at University of Melbourne. She has been teaching and tutoring
Mandarin at different levels in Melbourne since 2006. Prior to that,
she was working as a producer of children shows. She loves to motivate
kids by playing lingual games and telling good stories.
Jennifer Lao Shi
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Music at Monash University, and completed an Early Childhood Education Diploma at Gowrie, Victoria. As an experienced educator, Jennifer had been teaching in a wide range of age groups, from early childhood to secondly high school age for many years. For Jennifer, music plays a very important role in every child’s learning journey. She loves to blend music ideas into Mandarinprogram, such as singing, dancing, games and playing easy handle instruments to make learning Mandarin more fun.
Cindy Lao Shi
Cindy came to Melbourne in 2004 and completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in 2009 at Monash University. Cindy has been working in education field since 2011. She always has a passion for being an early childhood teacher. She loves young children. She is a mother and understands how important it is the early childhood education for our young generation. She hopes she can use her knowledge and experience to educate the children.Jessica Lao Shi
My name is Jessica. Children are called me Jessica Lao Shi. I have been staying in Melbourne for 16 years. I graduated from Bachelor of Education (primary and early childhood). I have been working in education industry for more than 7 years including Chinese school sector. Since when I was a child, I always want to be a teacher and I also enjoy being with children. Therefore I become an early childhood teacher.I believe providing children opportunity expose in the bilingual environment at the early stage is enhancing them to explore the world and creating an enriching environment for children. I have extensive experience and knowledge in Early Childhood Education and would like to share my enthusiasm and training with the children.
Vicky Admin Staff
Vicky has been a diligent
administrator of Hello Mandarin for several years. She is known to
remember the names of the children attending the centre, go an extra
mile when seeing to their needs, and happily do so with a warm smile
throughout the day.Vicky has completed a Master degree in International Business which grants her an insightful knowledge of the inner workings of administration. In addition, she has recently completed a Diploma in Childhood Education, allowing her an astute perception of the mindsets of the little ones, and assist them in the most pertinent means possible, no matter what the obligations may be.
Parents and students find Vicky at the front desk of Hello Mandarin most of the time, ready to assist and tackle more day to day problems.
